uvex congratulates Dan Dennis, winner of the QMIHSC25 Innovation Award
Gold Coast, Australia – August 2025 – uvex safety Australia & New Zealand is proud to congratulate Dan Dennis, co-founder of INTELICS, on winning the prestigious QMIHSC25 Innovation Award for his presentation:
“INTELICS Contractor Management System: A Safety Mindset to Bring Contractors Home Safely.”
Dan’s presentation addressed one of the most pressing challenges in the mining industry — the disproportionately higher risk contractors face on site. By shifting the focus from a “compliance mindset” to a “safety mindset,” the INTELICS Contractor Management Platform and JobCard system are helping supervisors and contractors alike achieve stronger engagement, greater visibility, and higher levels of safety compliance in real time.
“Being a contractor should never mean being at greater risk. Our goal is simple — to bring every contractor home safely. The CMP software was built to close the gap between compliance paperwork and the reality of on-site execution, creating engineering controls that make safety active and practical,” said Dan Dennis.
As part of his award, Dan will travel to A+A Düsseldorf in November 2025, the world’s largest trade fair dedicated to health and safety at work, where he will join global leaders in exploring the latest innovations and solutions in workplace protection.
“Innovation is essential to building rock solid foundations for safety in mining. We’re honoured to support the Innovation Award and to see ideas like Dan’s gaining recognition at the highest level. Sponsoring the opportunity for him to attend A+A Düsseldorf aligns with our commitment to driving world-class safety outcomes,” said David Sierra, Managing Director, uvex safety ANZ.
The Queensland Mining Industry Health & Safety Conference (QMIHSC) remains one of the industry’s most important platforms for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and advancing safety excellence. uvex is proud to have once again supported the event through sponsorship of the Exhibition Hall, the Informal Dinner fundraising event, and the Innovation Award.
