uvex announces safety & vision partnership with Blackfriars Priory School Pedal Prix Program

Supporting the next generation of innovators, engineers and athletes through safety, performance and vision

uvex is proud to announce a new partnership with Blackfriars Priory School, becoming the Safety and Vision Sponsor of the school’s Pedal Prix Racing program from 2026.

One of Blackfriars’ most dynamic co-curricular programs, Pedal Prix brings students together through human powered vehicle (HPV) racing, combining engineering, STEM learning, physical fitness and teamwork. The program plays a vital role in developing discipline, resilience and problem-solving skills, while fostering a strong sense of community among students, families and Old Scholars.

As part of the partnership, uvex will support the program with spare and replacement windscreens/windows for team cycles, along with safety eyewear for students, helping to protect riders and crew during training and race-day competition across the Adelaide University Australian HPV Super Series and beyond.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment between uvex and Blackfriars Priory School to safety culture, innovation and high performance. While uvex is globally recognised for protecting people in demanding work environments, this collaboration extends that purpose into learning and sport—supporting student athletes and engineers as they refine racing strategy, vehicle mechanics and endurance.

By backing a program that champions education, character development and community engagement, uvex is proud to help Blackfriars build a strong platform for students to grow with confidence. The partnership also contributes to a safer, more connected Pedal Prix community, reinforcing the importance of vision, protection and preparation—on the track and beyond.
